My Stained Glass Projects

These are my stained glass projects over the past year. I haven't practiced my stained glass since learning how to do it more than 20 years ago. The first project was a stock pattern of a beautiful flower. The finished project is fairly large and hangs in my living room window. The second project was a stained glass stepping stone I made and donated to an animal rescue organization for their annual fundraiser / auction. The winning bid was $75!!! The third project is one of my own design. I drew the heron then fabricated the piece. I intended it to be installed in the sidelight of my front door but it's beautiful in my sunroom looking out over the lake.

UPDATE...WEDDING RING PILLOWS (My Creations)

This is one of my wedding ring pillows...my design and my creation. I spend tons of hours on each one. They are truly labors of love. I make them for very special brides.
This one has woven ribbons, lace, beading, etc.
Pretty isn't it!!!

Beading is another passion...

This is the first beading project of any size I have undertaken... and it was 2-3 years ago. It is a tiny victorian "purse" that is fully beaded. These are photos of the entire piece and closeups of the front and back. I have another much larger piece I have almost finished. I will post it soon.

Novice Artist: My first "stab" at acrylics...

This is my first painting and I used acrylics. It's a piece of wine art and I've identified many names for wine as "gold script" against the background surrounding the bunch of grapes. Only problem is that it is unfinished because I cannot (for the life of me) identify one more word to fill in the last blank spot on the scripted background.

Wedding Ring Pillows

My passion for a while was making wedding ring pillows....intricate beaded and beautiful wedding ring pillows.

I spent many hours on each one and I made several.

Here are several I have made for very special brides.

Very pretty...if I do say so myself!

Salt Dough Art...Not practical (longterm) but so much fun

I discovered salt dough art 3-4 years ago and for a while after that LOVED playing around with the "clay like" medium. These are two art bowls Imade with the theme of them both being the idea that I've embraced since then and the name of my blog...Hearts Abound! After making them I put polyurethane on them to preserve them. They've been stored away since and when I pulled them out to photograph them for this blog I found one has a tiny piece missing (a chip). So sad. PS I know I'm not a sculptor...haha.
